A Journey of Growth: How Feedback Transformed Healthy Rhythms Coaching
In 2020, I set out on a bold mission: to make online coaching training accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime — and affordable.
Why?
Because I saw too many leaders burning out, unable to sustain themselves or effectively lead others, I wanted to create a program that empowered leaders to embrace sustainable change — training that fit seamlessly into their lives.
COVID-19 opened new possibilities. With the rise of online learning and platforms like Gnowbe, microlearning has become intuitive.
If we binge Netflix in short bursts, why not coaching training?
I dreamed of leaders learning in five-minute increments — while sipping coffee, commuting, or enjoying a quiet moment after school drop-off.
Since then, Healthy Rhythms Coaching Training has reached individuals and organizations in over 30 countries, spanning North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. This global impact shows the universal need for sustainable leadership.
But with success came a humbling moment.
In September, a participant described the course as “confusing.” That feedback stung. Around the same time, I coached a CEO wrestling with their organization’s “golden calves” — those sacred things we cling to, even when they no longer serve us.
That feedback pushed me to reflect deeply. I realized the training no longer reflected my current experience as a coach, teacher, and practitioner. It was a wake-up call.
At first, I resisted the idea of change. I felt defensive — after all, I had poured so much into the original course. However, as Newton’s First Law reminds us, overcoming inertia requires an external force. Complacency and fear often hold us back.
So, I paused new registrations, cleared my schedule, and reimagined the course from the ground up. I drew from my work coaching CEOs, pastors, and leaders of all kinds and integrated the latest microlearning strategies.
The result?
The Healthy Rhythms Coaching Training is now more engaging, transformative, and accessible than ever. I’ve even added a complimentary coaching session at the end to help participants reflect on their learning and set a clear direction forward.
I’m sharing this not just to highlight the power of feedback but to challenge you:
- What’s “confusing” in your life or leadership?
- What sacred “golden calves” might need re-examining?
- How can you reframe challenges as opportunities for growth?
Change isn’t always easy, but it’s necessary for growth. I encourage you to reflect on your journey — and take that first step toward transformation.
Here’s to growth!
