From Coaching to Celtic Adventures: Embracing Life’s Journey
This year, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside incredible leaders from diverse backgrounds. One of them is Stephanie Woollard, founder of The Celtic Way. Stephanie came to me earlier this year with a dream: to create a tour company offering authentic experiences of Ireland and the British Isles.
During one of our conversations, we discovered a shared passion for Ireland’s rich history and culture. Since I frequently teach, write, and speak on Celtic spirituality, it felt natural to partner with her and even serve as a guide for her tours. We’re incorporating my latest book on Celtic Missional Spirituality as a key resource for the group.
I’m sharing this with you for two reasons:
Follow Your Passion
Pursuing what you love while serving others often leads to unexpected and meaningful opportunities. Helping others bring their dreams to life has enriched my journey in surprising and rewarding ways.
Embrace Life’s Many Layers
From a young age, we’re asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” — as if we’re meant to choose just one thing. But life is multifaceted, and as we evolve, our interests, roles, and pursuits can grow and change, too.
Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to continue coaching remarkable leaders, partnering with organizations that are reshaping their operations, teaching change management at educational institutions, podcasting, writing — and yes, even being a tour guide with Stephanie next summer!
At the same time, I’ve committed to saying no to projects and people that don’t excite me or give me energy.
Life is too short to pour ourselves into things that drain us. By saying no to the wrong opportunities, we create space for the right ones.
If you’re feeling stuck in one role or calling, I encourage you to explore what excites you — without any expectations. Letting go of expectations and focusing on helping others purely for the joy of serving can transform your mental health and outlook.
You never know what doors might open when you lean into what brings you joy.
